Gifts from God, too many to count

including the question: what’s this about?

Gifts from God, some surface, some deep

some you pass on, some you keep

Gifts from God bring real pleasure

Divine supply, God’s open treasure

Gratitude is highest prayer

rewards come when you really care

ever-present all things new

material issues becoming few

All knowing, all seeing, all work gets done

All power, all justice, all victories won

panacea for our every ill

doles out missions to fulfill

highest praise, greatest honor due

Give to God as he gives to you.

Love, honor and negotiate

no secrets, no hate

a team approach to all you do

remember now there are two of you

give each other what you need

love in thought and in deed

forgive each other when you are mad

hold each other when times are sad

help with chores til they are done

tease and play, flirt for fun

being in love, find contentment in bed

in times of trouble use your head

work together as if two are one

work to keep each other young

love and cherish for life your mate

and you’ll experience the greatest of great.

Oh that we might think to war

when shaken to our very core.

Adjusting justice near and far,

no dwelling on the battle’s scar.

Thoughts make up both heaven and hell;

tainted or blessed by the stories we tell.

Layers of complexity hinder sight;

raise your thought to see the light.

Focused on the sense of peace,

we see: Love for all is what frees.

Clouds and trees to give us shade,

appreciative as the errors fade.

The sun remains, gives life to earth;

the light within shows our worth.

No need to war; God in control!

Living waters refresh the weary Soul.
