Cars, coal, and cows are where my mind goes when thinking how to slow climate change. I appreciate your education here to at least open my eyes to possibilities and to see the overall contribution as lower.

I will keep an open mind even as this does not seem certain at all. I have prosecuted fish kills from manure berms breaking and know cows are not great for the environment when their waste is not managed properly.

While I appreciate your points of view and entertaining style (raked not racked tho and a has that should be a have- the editor in me), I am not going to add beef back into my diet. I gave it up 30 years ago when I lived in Vermont for a year as the taste of grass fed beef is disgusting to me. I appreciate that the taste incentivized me to give up what likely contributes to other health issues. Even so, I will lighten up on cows a bit and make sure I gather all the facts. I always did like cows and I carried many a milk pail to the big tank when I was a kid. Cows have pecking orders and relationships with each other that are not well understood. I would rather we all rely on plants more for our food! Thanks again for your writing.
