I am out of time for writing much today but want to thank you for your thoughts on this. As a political scientist who wears a lawyer hat, I am very opinionated but also concerned. I agree the candidates and the party should have pulled together for this fight against the tyrant who is in the big house. At least the field is widdling down. So many good points for me to think about here. I appreciate your thoughtful expression of the ideas.

One addition I wish to give you. You said: Whenever we engage with any system, we should ask ourselves one question: how could this be more efficient? I think we should also ask ourselves: is the system effective in advancing our values.

Justice is one of our high values as is equality of opportunity yet we must work for both daily. I am sorry that history shows such injustice to and poor treatment of people of color. I see it in the system to this day.

I would like the system to be efficient but also effective- my only addition to your well expressed views here. I do not have time to read all your other articles today but I am going to follow you.

Best wishes. I usually click 21 as my high praise (as it is my favorite number) but gave you the 50 you deserve here.
