Barely alive in the blurring midst;

normalcy, so sorely missed;

too many must but raise a fist;

Solidarity comes when the cross is kissed.

we must overcome pandemic fear,

concerns for fraud, political drear;

our minds propped open so we may hear:

to know the other, Look in the Mirror.

Especially in times that look so bleak,

we protect all people by protecting the weak;

we find the connection we all seek;

Called to Service, the inheriting meek.
