Skyscraper Souls By Penni Livingston (The Lorax Lawyer)

Tall buildings, skyscraper souls

cold hearts filled with holes

money the means, money the end

money their best and only friend

currency is not the measurement of worth

far more important to protect the earth

try to keep up, now do the math

the peril of salary hinders one’s path

reliance on good is far supreme

manifest reality from your dream

doing well by doing good

beautify the neighborhood

enhancing what we already got

not by putting up a parking lot

Implement the best solution

getting rid of all pollution

don’t linger waiting for big brother

step up now to help another

reaching out your helping hand

restoring health to our great land

when you plant the healing seed

you’ll find yourself, your soul, indeed

health restored to the souls so tall

health restored to the planet, all

much to learn, much to teach

heights of heaven within our reach

not with dollars, not with yen

not with towers built by men

the pearl of great price cannot be bought

except by builders of towering thought

thinkers, be doers, without much pause

love for all the greatest cause

patched up hearts, souls restored

the world we love, one accord
