Thank you for the insight and helping us all cultivate depth in our dealing with chaos and the grief of where we are as a society.
We are all informed by our experience. Sharing helps enlighten. Spiritually, we have to see that we are not separated from the protection of Divine Love, which you are doing when you align with your values and take care of yourself.
The hard part and the next level of trauma is when we help our brother man to also not be separated from the Divine that they seem not able to express, given the conduct and words of many. Yet as the Course on Miracles makes clear- we have to love our brother (AKA our enemies) or we will not be rid of that conduct and character so there is the rub. How do we express that love?
I think you have much of that figured out. We expose error instead of tolerate it even as we protect ourselves from world thought and acts that are negative and wrong. Then we find restorative practices that restore our clarity and safety but also that of the other- even the enemy.
How do we make friends, not just peace, with the enemy of justice? I don't have it all figured out and that is our challenge. I am working on injustice daily as I have as a lawyer for over 30 years. Hard stuff. How do we get everyone to fight for freedom from harm? That is our challenge because we care. Thanks for giving perspective and speaking your truth. That is a great start.
