Thanks for covering this topic. Of course “patience has her perfect work.” Yet the issue is never God not answering us. As you say, we must actively listen. Even so, to add to this, we must be a match to what we desire or as you say it-what we ask for. The issue is always us, not the God who is all powerful and Universal Good.

Also- why all the asking? We have to be in line with what we want. Desire is prayer and needs no words for God to support it. If you want to be an accountant or a lawyer, you have to get the right degree, study, and pass a test. God cannot make that different. The work is ours, not God’s.

God’s law is already the way it is (just like gravity is gravity) and the mission for answered prayer is for us to raise our thinking and feelings and deisire and KNOWING to our good desire, a wish in line with goodness. I hope we all spend less time begging God and more time getting in line with God. Then our prayers are answered and more quickly.
