Very perceptive. This expressed an excellent and important view!! You are so right. I did not know “ecological economics” was a doctorate degree but I’m glad it is. I wrote my doctoral thesis for law school on using economic incentives with regulation to save our air land and water. We weren’t even working on climate change back then.
We must incorporate the true costs of economics into each thing we produce and make better decisions to save our planet and ourselves. I wrote my thesis nearly 40 years ago and the world is feeling the effects you discuss from not reigning in the true costs of pollution. We should all be ecological economists whatever our other profession. Thank you.
Give up cigarettes, friend! That’s the worst personal pollution you can experience.
